Rapallo Tile Design in Cobalt Blue
The inspiration for this design was from a walking trip along the Ligurian coast in Italy, and the Rapallo lace work, combined with the local church windows of the area.

Vivace Design in No.1 colorway
I remember traveling as a child on the London double decker buses, and that the seats had very lively looking fabric. It's too long ago to remember the exact design, but I created "Vivace" as a tribute to those times.

Retrodeco Plate Design in Blue
Art Deco was prevalent between the two world wars, and affected all aspects of design. It made a comeback in the 1960s, which was when the term Art Deco was first used. The 1980s also saw an interest, with many graphic designers utilizing the strong clean linear symmetrical style of Art Deco. My Retrodeco design follows some of the formula of Art Deco.

Festival Pillow Design in Tangerine.
My very first client was James Gardner, the very prominent British designer, who's works included the Festival of Great Britain and the ocean liner QE2. I produced illustrations, photographs and models for James, and he gave me a great start to my career. I have tried to evoke a 50s style and flavour to my Festival design, which is when the Festival of Britain took place. The design is dedicated to James Gardners memory.

Firenze Tile in Cobalt Blue.
When you visit Italy, avoid the the mistake of most tourists, who rush from one place to the next, adding to their "have been to" list. Instead, stay in one place and savour, and soak in the atmosphere and culture. Firenze (Florence) is such a place to do this. It would take three lifetimes to really get to know Firenze, so just dwell on a few things there. My Firenze design was influenced by my visits, and their long tradition in art and design.
Firenze Bowl in Yellow.
Firenze (Florence) is one of my favorite places to visit. I always come away inspired by all the wonderful craftwork.
